I didn't know this phone was only the charger and not the whole phone! It came with a phone but it won't work if you don't have the base! So I took it back! At the time the advertisement was misleading!

My husband and I like this phone. We have the older model which is slightly easier to use. However, we love the fact that all we have to do is plug it into any outlet in the house.

Uniden.com says that the DCX750 is compatable with the DCT 646-3 it has replaced the DCX640. Hope that helps

Although the phones themselves worked great for 6 months, (we had the expandable units), they suddenly stopped hanging up and would stay off the hook for hours without us knowing, even after the end button was pushed. Come to find out it was a short in the base that kept the phone from ending the call, to make sure it was fully disconnected we had to unplug both the unit and the phone jack from the wall. [...] we will no longer buy and Uniden or V-Tech products- go with a Motorola- they have no problem fixing anything wrong with their phones and they don't charge to do it!

This phone has it all! The Extra handsets do not require a phone outlet, just an electical outlet, which means you can put a handset just about anywhere! The sound quality is clear, the volume is adjustable. The different ringtones are great. The "do not disturb" feature is great when taking a nap.(it allows you to silence all attached phones) This phone is a great product with lots of features and I highly recommend it.
